How to install Java JDK (Java Development Kit)

  1. Go to the Oracle Java SE Download Page and click "Download".
  1. Next, click on "Accept" and select your operating system.
  1. Go through the install wizard.
  1. Go to start and right click on "My Computer" and click on "Properties".
  1. Click on "Advanced System Settings."
  1. Click on "Environment Variables."
  1. Click on "New."
  1. Variable name needs to be "Path."
  1. The value is where you saved your Java JDK. It should be something like C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0\bin.
  1. Click "okay" on all the dialog boxes.
  1. You're done.
